Stop Bullying, Start Kindness – The Book

Stop Bullying, Start Kindness – The Basics is a primer on bullying and an introduction to creating Cultures of Kindness™, Behavioral Intelligence™ (Doing What’s Right to Get the Right Things Done) and STARR© the process for sustainable personal and cultural change.

Schools are opening across the country so the timing for publication has worked out well.  What I thought would take a week or so to re-write the text and have it ready for reading turned into 4 months.  Learning curves, family and summer activities, a balanced life and more learning curves have intervened.

Bullying will be back in the news within a few weeks but bullying will become more active and intense as the school year progresses and stress increases for students, parents and educators.  It is when we are under stress that best intentions can be forgotten and emotional, reactive behavior occurs.  The environment of stress is breeding territory for bullying behaviors to thrive.

The time to start a cultural shift for Cultures of Kindness™ is before every moment of the day is accounted for with curriculum and testing demands and getting homework done.

Let’s start a dialogue.  Start Kindness is a start.  There are many more resources for kindness than are listed in the book.  What are your favorites?  What has worked?  Where are the stumbling blocks.  With a common vision and a confluence of wisdom, we can create the culture where we and our children can thrive.

Many thanks and much gratitude to Will Tullos for the cover design (which is different from what shows up on Amazon) and to Emily Soccorsy-Heetland (visit her website) for outstanding quick response, great research and editing.  Without Emily and Will I would still be at the beginning of the learning curve.

You’ll notice this is a short book (and a low price so it can be affordable for everyone) that defines the problem, offers a solution through introducing ideas and directing you to resources that can help you plan and take action.

You do not need a Kindle itself to download the book as the Kindle App is available to use on your own device, tablet or phone.
